Why exporters choose us

What makes a shipping and logistics company in Mumbai worth calling the best

“Best” is easy to print on a website. In freight it should mean four measurable things: cargo leaves when it was planned to, documentation clears first time, the invoice matches the quotation, and one person stays answerable until delivery is confirmed. Those are the tests we are willing to be judged on.

Cargoking has worked out of Mumbai since 2000, within operating reach of Nhava Sheva and the Mumbai Air Cargo Complex. Customs and DGFT documentation stay with our own team rather than an outside broker, because the commonest cause of delay in Indian export logistics is the gap between whoever booked the freight and whoever filed the paperwork.

More than 500 businesses ship with us to six continents, from first-time exporters to manufacturers running weekly containers.

  • Customs and DGFT documentation handled in-house
  • A named coordinator on every shipment file
  • Air, sea, road and rail priced side by side
  • Licensed MTO, ISO certified, FFFAI member

Cargoking delivers to all six inhabited continents. Direct agent relationships mean a booking placed in Mumbai is handled by someone accountable at the other end, not passed down a chain of brokers.

Pricing

Hassle-free shipping, at a price you can actually plan around

The cheapest quote is rarely the cheapest shipment. A rate that quietly leaves out terminal handling, documentation or destination charges looks sharp on an email and expensive on the final invoice. That gap is where most of the frustration in freight comes from, and it is entirely avoidable.

We quote the whole movement, itemised, so you can compare like with like. If a cheaper routing genuinely exists, we will tell you, even when it reduces what we invoice: a different port pair, consolidation instead of a full container, or sea instead of air on a deadline that allows it. A client who can forecast landed cost accurately stays a client.

Rates move with carrier tariffs, fuel and seasonal capacity, so every quotation carries its own validity. Within that window the number is the number. Where an unavoidable charge appears later, such as a customs examination or a port congestion surcharge, you hear about it when we do, not on the invoice.

Cargoking Express

Small shipments move on a different clock

Not every consignment is a container. Samples sent to a buyer, a spare part holding up a production line, signed contracts, e-commerce parcels. These need a courier network and a tracking number, not a freight booking and a bill of lading.

Cargoking Express is our international courier line, built for exactly that traffic: documents and small parcels collected in Mumbai and delivered door to door overseas, with the same operations desk standing behind it.

Choosing a logistics partner

Six questions worth asking any shipping company in India

What to askHow Cargoking answers it
Who actually files my customs documentation? Our own team in Mumbai. Customs clearance and DGFT filings are not passed to an outside broker, so the people who booked the freight are the people answering the query when customs raises one.
Who do I speak to once the cargo has moved?A named coordinator who owns your file from booking through to delivery, backed by an operations desk that answers 24/7 rather than a general enquiries queue.
What is actually included in the quoted price?Freight, origin handling, customs and documentation, destination charges and inland delivery, itemised. Duties and statutory taxes are shown separately because customs sets them, not the forwarder.
Can you price more than one mode?Yes. Air, sea, road and rail are quoted side by side whenever the choice is genuinely open, with the landed-cost difference stated plainly instead of implied.
What licences and accreditations do you hold?FFFAI membership, ISO certification, a Government of India Multimodal Transport Operator licence and MSME registration, all evidenced on request for vendor onboarding.
What happens when a shipment goes wrong?Forwarders are judged on exceptions, not easy shipments. Re-bookings, customs queries, rollovers and delays stay with the same coordinator, and you hear the position before you have to ask for it.

FAQ

Questions we are asked most

We move cargo between India and six continents through direct agent relationships, with established markets including the UAE, United Kingdom, Poland, USA, Brazil, Kenya, Uganda, China, Singapore and Indonesia.

Most enquiries receive a considered option and an indicative price the same working day. Send the route, commodity, weight or volume and your target date.

Yes. Customs filings, IEC registration and DGFT licensing are prepared by our own compliance team in Mumbai rather than outsourced.

Yes. We run dedicated services for hazardous goods, with correct classification, labelling and documentation, and temperature-controlled movement for pharmaceuticals and food.

Air suits urgent, high-value or low-volume cargo; sea suits larger volumes where landed cost matters more than transit time. We will recommend the mode that fits your deadline and budget rather than the one easiest to book.

Yes. We coordinate first-mile pickup, main carriage, customs and last-mile delivery, including DDP shipments where we handle duties at destination.

Three things clients point to: customs and DGFT documentation prepared in-house rather than subcontracted, a named coordinator who stays with the shipment from booking to delivery, and an itemised quotation that does not grow on the invoice. Add an operations desk available 24/7 and an MTO licence covering multimodal movement, and the exceptions that normally derail a shipment get handled without a handoff.

We are usually competitive and occasionally not the lowest line on a comparison sheet, because our quotation includes the charges some rates leave out, such as terminal handling, documentation and destination costs. Compared on landed cost rather than headline freight, clients consistently find the figure works out well. Where a genuinely cheaper routing exists, we will point you to it.

Yes, through Cargoking Express, our international courier line for documents, samples and small parcels moving door to door. Larger consignments move as air or ocean freight under the main Cargoking service.

Yes. Cargo is collected from across India by road and rail and consolidated for export through Mumbai or the gateway that suits the routing. Documentation is handled centrally by the Mumbai team regardless of where the cargo originates.
