Who we are

This website is operated by Cargoking Shipping & Logistics Pvt Ltd, a freight forwarding and logistics company registered in India, with its office at 1210, 86 Central by Crystal Group, Near Shreyas Signal, Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road, Ghatkopar West, Mumbai 400086, Maharashtra, India.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and through the course of providing logistics services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to move your cargo.

Information you give us

  • Your name, company name, email address and telephone number when you submit an enquiry or quotation request.
  • Shipment details you share with us, such as origin and destination, commodity, weight, volume and required dates.
  • Documentation you send for customs, DGFT or carrier purposes, which may include commercial and regulatory documents relating to your business.
  • Any other information you choose to include in correspondence with us.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system and screen size.
  • Usage information such as the pages you view, the time spent on them, referring URLs and the links you click.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers set by the analytics services described below.

How we use your information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
  • To arrange, document, book and execute the movement of cargo, including customs and regulatory filings.
  • To communicate with you about live shipments, including status updates and documentation requests.
  • To raise invoices, collect payment and maintain accounting records.
  • To meet legal, customs, tax and regulatory obligations that apply to freight forwarding in India.
  • To understand how this website is used so that we can improve it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the information you send us for unrelated marketing by third parties.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technologies, both to make the site work and to understand how it is used. The following third-party services are active on this site:

  • Google Analytics 4, for aggregated measurement of site traffic, pages viewed and traffic sources.
  • Google Tag Manager, a container that manages which measurement tags load on the site.
  • Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised interaction analytics, including heatmaps and session replay of on-page behaviour, used to find usability problems. Clarity applies automatic masking to text entered into form fields.

These services may set cookies on your device and process technical and usage information under their own privacy terms. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; essential functionality will still work, but some measurement will not.

Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics measurement across websites. Microsoft Clarity provides its own opt-out through its privacy settings.

Who we share information with

Moving cargo requires information to pass to other parties. We share only what the movement or the law requires, and only with:

  • Carriers, including shipping lines, airlines, trucking and rail operators, to book and execute carriage.
  • Overseas agents and partners at origin or destination, where the movement requires handling at the other end.
  • Customs authorities, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade and other government or regulatory bodies, where filings or clearances require it.
  • Insurers, where cover is arranged or a claim is made.
  • Professional advisers, auditors and banks, in the ordinary course of running a regulated business.
  • Service providers who operate our website and measurement tools, as described above.

We do not share your information with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

International transfers

Because international freight is by definition cross-border, information about a shipment and the people responsible for it will usually be transferred to parties outside India, for example an agent, carrier or customs authority at the destination. We share only what is necessary for the movement and the clearance.

Some of the analytics providers listed above also process data outside India under their own terms.

How long we keep information

We keep shipment, customs and accounting records for as long as Indian customs, tax and company law requires, and for as long as a record may be needed to deal with a claim or dispute.

Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to a shipment is kept only for as long as it remains useful for business follow-up. Website analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics service concerned.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, including restricted access to shipment files and accounts, and encrypted transport for this website.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please do not send sensitive financial information, such as full bank or card details, by ordinary email.

Your rights

Subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you and provide a summary of it.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • Erase information that we no longer need and are not required to keep.
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave, where our processing relied on that consent.
  • Raise a grievance about how your information has been handled.

To exercise any of these, write to us using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some information must be retained where law or an ongoing obligation requires it.

Children

This website and our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, our tools or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than communicated individually.
